Tracey Wheat - Principal Practitioner
Tracey Wheat is a leading expert in resolving disputes and helping families navigate difficult transitions. As the Principal Practitioner at Family Pathways WA, she's dedicated to supporting families after separation.
After 15 years in business management, Tracey became a Nationally Accredited Mediator in 2013. Her early work in Western Australia's remote North West focused on restorative justice, which ignited her passion for learning and improving her skills.
Tracey also holds a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution (FDR). This specialised training allows her to support separated parents in improving communication, creating parenting plans, and negotiating property agreements. As an accredited FDR practitioner, the Attorney-General's Department supports her in helping families resolve issues outside of court.
For Tracey, conflict management is about giving people a voice, ensuring they are heard, and identifying realistic solutions for a better future. She's a specialist in complex matters and thrives on the challenge of working with clients to achieve positive outcomes. Tracey has also trained as a Child Consultant and in Family Coordination and Family Group Conferencing that allows her to adopt a holistic approach.
Tracey is a Professional Member of the Resolution Institute and a panel member of Aboriginal Mediation Services. She's also been recognised with several Business of the Year Awards. Having lived and worked in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions for over 15 years, Tracey deeply understands the unique challenges of remote living. She serves as a peer supervisor for other mediators, volunteers in the community, and continues to travel throughout WA for work and pleasure.
